• pic of school busAll students who are eligible for busing will be picked up and returned beginning with the first day of school on Wednesday, August 21st for those in grades K-12 and on Thursday, August 22nd for preschool students.  Families will receive an automated call with transportation information on July 28th, August 14th and 18th. No changes will be made after August 8th. Changes received after August 8th will take effect on September 3, 2024.

    Bus passes will be issued to students at a “Meet the Teacher” event, OR on the first day of school. Students will NOT need a pass in order to ride the bus on the first day of school.

    Families are asked to allow extra time for bussed students to arrive back home after school during the first week as well. Extra time is taken to familiarize students with bus stops, procedures, and schedules.

Please contact the Enrollment & Transportation Center for information.  Families of returning students are reminded to fill out all enrollment documents online in order to avoid scheduling issues when school begins. Proof of residency in the Freeport School District is required for new students and all students with a change in address.
