To become a volunteer in Freeport School District, follow these two steps:

1) Complete the online volunteer application. Once you have accessed the application webpage, click on the “apply” button that appears near the top right corner. A pop-up window will appear. Follow the directions, fill in all required information, and submit.

2) Call FSD's Central Office at 815-232-0300 and schedule a Fingerprint/Background Check appointment.

Once the above requirements are completed and approved, a Volunteer ID badge will be issued to you. At that time, the Principal and Administrative Assistant at the chosen school will be informed. The volunteer will then be contacted by the above staff to set up volunteer hours.
