Hello Freeport School District Families,
Due to extreme wind chill factors, there will be no in-person learning for FSD students on Tuesday, January 21st. Tuesday, January 21st, will be a remote learning day, which is a virtual attendance day for students.
Chromebooks were sent home and all students should follow the full remote learning schedule for their school. Guidance for remote learning can be found on the district website.
Please be reminded that Wednesday, the 22nd, is a District Institute Day and students will not be in attendance. We look forward to seeing our students on Thursday, January 23rd.

Freeport High School, Home of the Pretzels, is the sole high school in the Freeport School District and serves students in Grades 9 to 12. Freeport High School’s staff consists of 155 talented teachers and staff members whose primary focus is the academic success, social emotional growth, and safety of our diverse student population.
Originally built in 1926 with several additions since, the school includes 80 classrooms, two gymnasiums, a technology wing, a 400-seat cafeteria, and Special Education services. Students are not only provided daily academic instruction in the classroom, but also have opportunity to participate in numerous extracurricular and co-curricular activities, including our Grammy award-winning music program. Students also have access to dual-credit opportunities, the CollegeNOW program with Highland Community College, courses through the Career and Technical Education Consortium, and AVID elective courses. Our College & Career Center also provides guidance to our students as they prepare for life after graduation. FHS is a 1-to-1 campus: all students in the school are provided with a Chromebook for their studies.
